..the best shot..

..4A's, 2B's and 3C's  is nothing to shout about..she had warned us earlier that Science is not her cup of tea, but such is the system that for giving a good showing  in PMR, (6 A's), she was streamed into Science...and when she returned C's for Chemistry, Biology and Physics, I was not totally perturbed...when we met at her mother's little hair salon later  in the day, she tried to put up a brave face...she was disappointed..and so was I..I hid mine, but hers showed....she protested when I took her in my arms and gave her a peck on her head...its ok..you have given your best shot...and I love you...for now let us not think too much about it...the future is still there, waiting....it need some re-planning, yes..but it is not bleak...so, chin up...

..Auji, centre, with her cousin and friend..

Don't worry Auji. This is just the beginning of your life. You are just like me...Science is not our cup of tea. Once you find your 'cup of tea', then everything will be fine. When there's a will, there's always a way. Hope for the best!!!! Auji Boleh!!! Yeeeeeeeaaaa...

That what is not very right with our Educational System.. if your PMR result is good there will be not much chance for you to go any class other than science class. It is unfortunate that science subjects are not your child's cup of tea.. but your tremendous understanding is paramount to her emotional well being..
Congrats Auji.. I believe you have done your level best :)

Auji,

Well done!

We all have different gifts and strengths. You will find yours and then you will fly further than you can ever imagine.

auji, i left a premier boarding school because i was streamed into science and i knew i would fail my MCE if i let my ego ruled my head and stayed. and so i went home to a kampung school in dungun, to arts class, and passed my MCE with a couple of distinctions.

the way i look at it, your results are good; now you must think of tertiary education, and not brood about what's already over. you'll go far, girl, after all you anak that incorrigible "oldie but goldie" pakmat fahmy.. hehehe

auntie puteri @dungun

My advice is to go forward. First Master the English language, read as many English language books as possible. Take any degree course you like in the university and concentrate on you getting a degree.

The world need graduates who are fluent in the English language and professional who know their stuff.

Take care.

..folks, thank you for your kind and inspirational comments..auji is about my only daughter who is shy and retreating..'ow, papa...now the whole world knows..shy, lah..' so?..let the whole knows..my typical retort..but she needs to brush up on her English..and I am inclined for her to attend Form 6...rather than enter u..anywy, we will see what gives..

thank you again, folks..esp that auntie from Dsungun...:)

Pakmat, Form 6 is a very good idea. Its matured her thinking process and it would be good for her and do it in English please. Take care.

Salam Pakmat,

It still puzzles me how our education masters come to the conclusion that when our young children show that they are bright, they are automatically science-oriented. Personally for me, if I had a choice back then, I would love to have studied journalism or even literature. But then, exams aren't everything, right?

C's in Chem, Bio and Physics are actually not too bad.
